2016 was a brilliant year at Anarchy Brew Co, and let us begin with a huge thank you to all of our customers over the last 12 months, without whom we wouldn’t be here. Here’s to 2017!
We look forward to developing our relationships and also continue to work with new businesses/pop-ups, wherever possible.
2016 amongst a lot of new goings on, saw the beginning of our newly styled ‘Beer Bash’, the first being in October with a modest all-day event, followed by a let-loose party for the Xmas edition. The lights were up, the trees in place, bands booked, food truck organised, all that was needed was a good turnout… we weren’t disappointed.
Around 200 people attended from the breadth and depth of the North East, some from even further afield, with plenty taking advantage of the bus service provided from various points for only £5 for the return journey.
OTB Our 2 bars hosted 7 keg taps, 3 casks, and endless bottled beers. From Strait Jacket our 3.6% pale to knuckle Dragger our 8.3% double IPA, safe to say the beer was certainly in full flow.
A la carte – ‘Hog’s n Chix’ a local set up, serving sumptuous stodge to soak up all the beer on offer. Unfortunately our friends at ‘Scream for Pizza’ were unavailable this time, but they will be welcomed back with open arms should they be free for any our next events.
The tunes – A uniquely reduced version of local band ‘The Kentucky Cow Tippers’ were first up, kicking the music off at 7pm, with their entertaining bluegrass style of country music getting our guests whipped up for the night ahead. They were closely followed by our headliners ‘The Reet Hot Chilli Peppers’ you can guess their style I’m sure! An impeccable nod to the original band, they went down a storm, certainly a fit.
From the ‘Amazing Les’ to our ‘Stein Slider’ there was plenty of fun to be had, with the night in full swing until the midnight hour. Our Xmas beer bash was a huge success and gave us a huge opportunity to open the doors of our brewery (of which we are so proud) for all to see.
NEXT EVENT – SATURDAY 22nd APRIL 6pm-MIDNIGHT
Lots of people were chancing their hand at our Stein Slider
