We’re off to NYC!

We’re proud to announce our next collaboration is with Hackney Brewery (London) and Kings County Brewers Collective (New York). Dawn, Simon, Les, and Daisy fly across to New York tomorrow, and will then be joined over there by Steve Lawler, Brewer at Hackney Brewery.

Simon and Dawn paid a visit to KCBC’s taproom when on holiday in December last year. They met Tony and Pete and instantly clicked over Harley-Davidson’s and the synergy between their artwork. So bikes and a love of beer cemented the friendship after a night in KCBC’s amazing brew house.

A night out in London with Jon and Steve from Hackney Brewery then followed, starting with a few pints at the Euston Tap. Simon and Les were then treated to a tour of Hackney Brewery (thanks, Jon!). The lab equipment they have invested in is really impressive, and something we’ve really learned from as a brewery.

The collaboration beer is a pink peppercorn, passion fruit & hibiscus saison. It’s scheduled to be brewed on Thursday 4th April at KCBC’s brewery in Brooklyn.

Pete Lengyel, Co-Owner / Brew Commander at KCBC said, “We’re super excited to welcome our friends from across the pond to collaborate on this year’s spring seasonal saison. Pink Panthalope will be released into the wilds of NYC this April”.

Say hello to Craft Beer Hour 789!

Craft Beer Hour 789 with Blackened Sun Brewing Co.

We’re proud to be a Craft Beer Hour partner venue! So what does that mean? Well, we’ll be bringing you beers once a month from one of the hosts of Craft Beer Hour, with taps 7, 8 and 9 in our taproom pouring great new beers. There’ll also be samples of other beers doing the rounds, and food specials cooked by our resident pop-up, Rib & Rub BBQ. Our first event is this weekend, featuring beers from Blackened Sun Brewing Company (based in Milton Keynes). Coming up on taps 7, 8 + 9 this will be:

👉 Awakening IPA (5.7%)
A constantly evolving year round IPA, this beer uses different hop varieties from around the globe every time it’s brewed. Refreshing and enlightened, this daring brew will not only quench your thirst but illuminate your palate. Vegan-friendly 🌱

👉 Hédoné Saison (3.6%)
Hédoné Saison (from the Greek personification of pleasure) is a sessionable beer made with British malt and hops and traditional saison yeast. Light and refreshing with a spicy, fruity yeast character and notes of citrus and berries from the hops. Hédoné demonstrates that lower alcohol beers do not have to be devoid of flavour. Vegan-friendly 🌱

👉 Nebula Stout (6.8%)
Rich, dark and bold, this stout features deep malt flavours including molasses and toffee combined with a fruity Abbey yeast character. Vegan-friendly 🌱

Check our Facebook event later in the week for info about some of the samples we’ll be sharing on Friday and Saturday! Want to know which of our beers will also be available this weekend? Head over to our Taproom page.

Dystopia Coconut Porter

Our new beer, Dystopia, launches next week. A coconut porter, with coconut (obvs!), chocolate, and a hint of tonka bean. And at 4.8% ABV, it’s very easy to drink!

Track it down in all good pubs and bottle shops at the end of next week. Dystopia will also be pouring in our taproom on Friday and Saturday next week, alongside our Craft Beer Hour 789 guest beers from Blackened Sun Brewing Co.

New Beer: Dead Space

📅 First pour: Saturday 16th March
🕗 12pm in our taproom

Our 6.5% Oat Cream IPA is finally here! We’re proud to launch our collaboration with 7 Fjell Bryggeri from Norway, after they joined us in our taproom last month for a great night (check out our video to see what you missed!).
Wondering what to expect from this beer? Oat, lactose and 008 yeast bring a fullness of palate and a sweet base. A double dry hop of El Dorado brings a tropical fruit aroma, with a resinous back note.

🍴 Food from Rib & Rub BBQ Club (served from 1pm)
🚇 Walkergate Metro is the nearest stop if you’re on public transport
🐾 Unfortunately dogs can’t come inside at present, as we haven’t got the taproom fenced off from the main brewery at the minute (they’re always welcome in our outside bit).

📢 Spread the word!

N.B. Our taproom is open every Friday + Saturday from 12pm – 10pm. Beers available to drink in or take out.
