Hello, Cardiff!

We’re taking over the taps over at The Head of Steam in Cardiff next week! The beers pouring in keg are:

🌌 Space Viking (8.5%)
Saison
Brand New collaboration with Brew York. A light-bodied saison; dry, with flavours of white grape and pear, peppery notes, and a hint of cloves. 

🍊 Teeny Weeny Tangeriney (1.9%)
Orange Radler
The new beer of the summer, blended with Marlish Water’s Brazilian Orange.

🦁 Manticore (4.5%)
India Pale Lager
A beer with the hopping rates more usually found in an IPA. Cold conditioned for 6 weeks in the style of a lager. Crisp, clean, and full of hops.

💀 Cult Leader (5.5%)
Mosaic Pale Ale
A single hop pale ale with hints of blueberry, tangerine, papaya, grass, and bubblegum. This pale ale really puts the incredibly versatile Mosaic hops on show.

🍺 Blonde Star (4.1%)
Blonde Beer
Crisp and fresh, Blonde Star is light in body but certainly not in flavour. Brimful of lemon, grapefruit, and passion fruit. Refreshing and bready, with a bright finish.

🍋 Citra Star (4.1%)
Session IPA
Citra Star is loaded with grapefruit, lemon and lime. Massively hopped with Citra, but light-bodied enough to keep you coming back for more.

☕ Sublime Chaos (7%)
Breakfast Stout
Winner of ‘Best Stout in Europe’ at the World Beer Awards 2015. Anarchy’s dark, voluptuous breakfast stout is infused with Ethiopian Guji natural coffee beans from Stafford-based coffee roaster, Hasbean. Velvety and viscous, it’s balanced delicately with New Zealand hops.

New Beer: Manticore

Our newest beer has landed! Say hello to Manticore – a 4.5% India Pale Lager. This is a beer with the hopping rates more usually found in an IPA. Cold conditioned for 6 weeks in the style of a lager, you can expect it to be crisp, clean, and full of hops.

Launching in our taproom on Friday 24th May from 12pm, then available from selected beery outlets from next week.

Taproom Takeover: Bad Seed Brewery

The team from Bad Seed Brewery in Malton are coming up to brew a beer with us, and they’re bringing a load of tasty beers, too!

The beers will be on Untappd and our website at anarchybrewco.com/taproom
✈️ Beers available in 3 x 1/3 flights (all individually priced, so you can pick and choose your favourites!)

🚇 Walkergate Metro is the nearest stop if you’re on public transport
🐾 Unfortunately dogs can’t come inside at present, as we haven’t got the taproom fenced off from the main brewery at the minute (they’re always welcome in our outside space!)

N.B. Our taproom is open every Friday + Saturday from 12pm – 10pm. Beers available to drink in or take out. Children welcome until 6pm.

Taproom Takeover: Wild Weather Ales

Following on from beery shenanigans at Craft Beer Rising, we’re hosting the motley crew from Wild Weather Ales this June!

From 7pm on Friday 7th June, we’ll have a tap takeover and meet the brewer event in the taproom. Rib & Rub BBQ will be on hand, serving up their delicious BBQ food to complement the beers.

Our New Alt. Market: Calling all Craftspeople!

We’re looking for stallholders who’d like to peddle their weird + wonderful wares! Our taproom is hosting the first Anarchy Alt. Market on Saturday 22nd June (12pm – 6pm).

Start-ups, established traders, alt. fashion, homeware with a difference, food stalls, creatives, and anything else not listed are all welcome to apply. Email daisy@anarchybrewco.com with details of what you’re looking to sell at Alt. Market #01.

New event: Kushty #02

Like beers, bikes, and barbering? Read on!

We’ve teamed up with SB Barbers to launch another Kushty event at the brewery. Saturday 31st August is the date, and from 2pm – 11pm we’re welcoming all bikers, beer fans, and those in need of a barber!

THE PLAN:
13:00 – Meet at Gateshead Harley Davidson
14:00 – Ride through to Anarchy Brew Co. for beers, bikes & barbering
23:00 – Hometime
(Secured 24hr bike parking, too. Kushty.)

Hit The North Competition

We’ve teamed up with Hit The North to bring the beer of the festival, a session IPA, to the gig-goers of the North East! To celebrate, we’re giving away a pair of gig tickets in selected bottle shops. To enter, all you need to do is buy a can of Hit The North beer in one of the below shops before 28th April:
